Design, interior architecture and furniture design for a showroom in the cabin innovation center in Hamburg, 3D-ANIMATION

The Cabin Innovation Center in Hamburg is a research and development center with test laboratories, manufacturing areas and exhibition areas for new products. Lufthansa Technik develops innovative in-flight entertainment and management systems, aircraft and cabin equipment, new seat concepts and much more for clients throughout the world.

The two storey exhibition room is equipped with a gallery and is predominantly used to display a range of products for clients. This room is also a versatile space where lectures, employee meetings, events and workshops can take place in a more unconventional manner. The main challenge was to integrate all these different functions within this area.

The gallery level is equipped with a client lounge, a conference area and a small, additional showroom for VIP aircraft fittings.

On the lower exhibition level a podium with an exhibition area was created for in-flight entertainment and management systems. The integrated, abstracted aircraft cabin is used to display new seating concepts, new lighting systems, in-flight entertainment electronics, etc. The “Arena” in the center of the room provides unconventional seating for the audience and employees on 3 levels.

The speaker’s lectern was required to fulfill all the functions of a classical lectern without actually looking like one. The design of the lectern enables the speaker to address the audience while standing or sitting, and to choose different positions and heights.
